Estelle Lefèvre
Estelle Lefèvre is a qualified midwife, and for the last 15 years, has been a journalist specialising in health. She is also a health consultant and author of a number of books on well-being. During the course of her practice, she has become increasingly aware of the importance of preventative action. She left midwifery for consulting on health issues in order to work on prevention, and more generally to inform the public in general. While working with Dr Yves Réquéna on the book « Stop smoking with one acupuncture session » (Guy Trédaniel Edition), she was given further opportunities to assess the increased damage caused nowadays by tobacco to women and to the foetus. It then became obvious to her that she should join in the fight against tobacco smoking by pregnant women, and for all women in general. She then suggested training midwifes to the Chiapi method. Her work includes : Pregnancy, softly ; The heart in good shape ; A diet without salt (Hachette Editions) ; Qi Gong, exercise for happy people ; and Stop smoking in one acupuncture session, with Yves Réquéna (Guy Trédaniel Edition).
Dr
René-Michel Penciolelli
Dr René-Michel Penciolelli qualified in sports medicine and biology, and specialised in stomatology and maxillo-facial surgery. After being a registrar (Où???) he later taught at the Medical school of Marseilles. Having taken a number of training courses in general practice, he became convinced that medicine is holistic ; one should treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms of a disease ; to that effect, one must go beyond one’s own specialty and look further, in particular at alternative medicines. As a specialist, he has treated a wide range of illnesses, from a simple wisdom tooth to cancerous lesions.
Assistant at the Anti-Cancer Centre in Marseilles he noted an increase in cancers related to the consumption of tobacco and alcohol, namely among women and young people. He has taken an interest in various anti-smoking treatments such as homeopathy, auriculotherapy, and especially acupuncture.
